Villa with Church Near San Gimignano, Italy is a large original acrylic painting inspired by Leslie’s stay at a historic villa estate in Tuscany, located between the hilltowns of Volterra and San Gimignano. The estate, originally known as Il Mocajo, included a villa, small chapel, horses, a racetrack, pond, and expansive surrounding grounds.

Inspired by the textures, patterns, and peaceful landscape of the estate, Leslie created this panoramic painting using many layers of paint and a rich combination of green, earth, and natural tones. The composition reflects her interest in Tuscan landscapes, with cypress trees, water elements, strong horizontal and vertical forms, and diagonal lines leading through the landscape.

The painting is an original 60 × 36-inch acrylic on canvas, mounted on heavy-duty 2-inch canvas stretcher bars. It can be displayed unframed or with a wood-toned floater frame.
